History
Mark Twain once ‘sobered up’ here but Cliff Richard was once turned away for not being appropriately dressed. There’s darker history too, with 3 Irishmen hanged on suspicion of murder of the first landlord and his wife in their beds in the 1800s. The Ship is certainly steeped in history.
